Mullins Foodstores are recruiting for a full time General Operative position at our 24 Hour Maxol Service Station on Pearse Road in Sligo.

Potential candidates should be available to work day and afternoon/evening shifts during week days and therefore these positions will not be suitable for secondary school pupils or full time third level students.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Providing a friendly, efficient and courteous service to our customers.
• Operating our tills systems and processing payments.
• Maintain quality standards in service and food offerings.
• Keeping the store tidy and clean and working to HACCP regulations.
• Stocking shelves with merchandise.
• Offer excellent customer service.
• Receiving, scanning, checking and storing the delivery of stock.
• Maintaining food displays in an appetising, attractive and hygienic manner.
• To assist the supervisor/manager with the day to day running of the store.

Skills required for the job:

• Have a friendly and engaging personality with good communications skills.
• Be comfortable working with members of the public.
• Should be a good team player and be willing to accept instruction and feedback to improve productivity and performance.
• Demonstrate a commitment to customer service.
• Previous experience in a Food Service or Customer Service / Shop environment would be an advantage but not a necessity as full job training will be provided for the right candidates.

This is a permanent full-time position for immediate start.
