ROLE SUMMARY

The incumbent will be responsible for the accurate assembly, wiring, and completion of various electronic devices and components. All assemblies are built according to engineering specifications, and vary in size and complexity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Load programs, firmware, and settings into devices using computers and peripheral hardware.
• Follow Engineering and Production documentation to assemble control devices, apply labels, and package peripherals.
• Assemble and wire control devices based on schematic diagrams.
• Use the computer ERP system to log assembly data and perform daily material transactions.
• Ensure an organized work area for safety and productivity.
• Stand, use hand tools, and occasionally lift items.
• Assist with verifying stock accuracy through cycle counts.
• Complete other assigned duties by the Supervisor.

SKILLS AND EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a related field and/or technical training preferred.
• Computer skills including MS Office 365, E-mail, and Apple OS.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and CAD assembly drawings.

WORK SCHEDULE

• Hourly, Non-Exempt position.
• Production Department work schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm with a 30-minute lunch break and two 10-minute breaks.
• Overtime, including Saturdays, may be required to meet business demand.

The business unit, which employs over 1,200 people globally, has multiple acquisitions that add value to Emerson’s world-leading products through control, connectivity, and remote monitoring. With major operations in Minnesota, Italy, Mexico, Brazil, China, and the Philippines, the Cold Chain business helps ensure that food safely and efficiently travels from farm to fork. There are many opportunities for advancement within the Kennesaw location due to the blend of businesses and functions under this roof.
