Geotechnical Project Engineer

Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interview
REQUIREMENT- Must be a US Citizen and must pass a federal background review and drug screen
Travel and Housing Allowance will be provided
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provides professional geotechnical engineering and construction management support by performing tasks such as: serves as a general engineer providing professional and technical leadership; guidance, and expertise in managing contractor executed construction projects
- Serves as the organizational subject matter expert regarding national standards and practices for geotechnical engineering designs as relate dam construction safety renovations
- Perform inspections and surveillance of construction work to ensure the work is in accordance with the contract and specifications
- Monitor submittals utilizing a submittal status log
- Review and respond to Requests for Information (RFI)
- Ensure contractor is adhering to contract and specification requirements
- Support construction contract modifications
Education and Experience:
- 5+ years of engineering and construction management experience
- Experience with construction administration and capability of handling large civil works projects
- Bachelor of Science Degree; Engineering
- Knowledge of dam construction and safety modification.
- Familiar with US Army Corps of Engineers’ processes
- US Army Corp of Engineering or other federal project experience, preferred
- Experience with Resident Management System (RMS), preferred
