Gestational Carrier Agency Case Manager

Position Summary
The Gestational Carrier Agency Case Manager will facilitate communication with all parties involved in the surrogacy process.
What You’ll Do Every Day
- Liaison with intended parents, gestational carriers, mental health professionals, attorneys, delivery hospitals, and all other professionals involved.
- Provide intended parents and gestational carriers with referrals to professionals and services needed throughout their journey.
- Work closely with agency Director and mental health professionals to facilitate and manage the matching process.
- Coordinate appointments, legal and insurance consultations.
- Communicate regularly and provide information, support and guidance to intended parents and gestational carriers throughout the process to keeping all parties informed of all important developments.
- Prepare hospital birth plans, coordinating with attorneys, intended parents, gestational carriers and hospital social worker/nursing managers.
- Complete a variety of tasks to assist the Directors ability to effectively lead the agency, which may include special projects, presentations, reports and other projects as needed.
- Co-facilitate a monthly gestational support group with a mental health professional.
- Build and nurture relationship with the gestational carrier to offer support, including assisting with gifts, providing support and guidance throughout the process as well as managing social medial groups.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to deal with diverse groups of people while showing the highest degree of professionalism regarding confidential information.
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of the medical, insurance and/or legal fields is preferred.
- Ability to complete a high volume of tasks and projects independently.
- Ability to find a balance between being a supportive, compassionate advocate for gestational carriers, while also setting clear boundaries and establishing authority.
- Must have excellent customer service skills, exhibiting courteous, compassionate, and respectful treatment of internal and external customers at all times.
- Must be technologically savvy with strong computer skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software and have the ability to use basic office equipment.
- Must possess sound judgement to problem solve with a good balance of analytic and intuitive skills.
- Must exhibit emotional maturity, professionalism, stability and flexibility in changing, stressful or difficult situations.
- Must be able to work under stressful conditions and remain calm under pressure.
- Must be able to multi-task and coordinate several tasks/projects while being detail oriented with a strong ability to utilize time efficiently.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and provide feedback to others in a positive and effective manner, and make it a priority to communicate consistently and professionally with all staff members, physicians and patients.
- Must be able to provide clear direction and set concise expectations when working with potential patients and physicians and staff.
- A strong ability to follow procedures and protocols is essential.
- Must have a strong ability to act independently as well as be able to work effectively in a team.
- Must demonstrate the ability to be a team player and possess a wiliness to perform duties that are assigned or delegated in a timely manner.
- Participate in identifying problems and suggesting solutions.
- Maintain confidentiality of all work information.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work or related field preferred.
- Personal experience as a gestational carrier a plus but not required.
- At least two years of experience in related field.

Working Conditions
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Prolonged periods of reviewing patient information, preparing and analyzing information and data.
- Frequent periods of standing, bending, and walking.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
- Use of professional office environment with daily use of standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, and scanners.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Travel will be required within the metro area and travel between CCRM locations; a valid driver’s license and proof of liability and property damage insurance is required when using employee’s personal vehicle.
