Job description
Responsibilities of the Gift Shop Attendant include, but are not limited to:
- Provides prompt, efficient, and courteous service to guests at all times.
- Maintains the daily operation of the gift shop within the guidelines of retail operating procedures.
- Collects payment for merchandise and follows all cash handling policies and procedures.
- Assists in merchandising functions including display and store design, inventory receiving, stocking, and merchandise pricing.
- Assists guests by suggesting products based on immediate needs and upselling products.
- Sweep, dust, clean, and organize merchandise. Maintain clean and organized work area to ensure safety issues are minimized.
- Promptly report or resolve any guest complaints or issues in the store.
- Reports any unsafe work condition to the direct supervisor.
- Responsible for adhering to all Company policies and procedures.
- Other duties, as assigned by the supervisor.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality business, team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the resort, including weekends and holidays.
