IDEAL CANDIDATE: We’re looking for a GL Accountant with a minimum of 1 year experience that has exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills, to support our mission in sharing the spirit of Aloha with our world class products. Candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and will be able to effectively organize task and time to meet deadlines with precision.

KEY FUNCTIONS

• Fosters a sense of teamwork and collaboration among team members by building an employee culture that is aligned with HCC Values and operating principles. Ensures all employees are treated consistently, fairly, ethically, and respectfully
• Reconcile various monthly bank and merchant fee statements and purchase orders against invoices/receiving documents. Collaborate with AP/AR to ensure accuracy in support of GL
• Maintain Chart of Accounts
• Research and validate discrepancies in various suspense/clearing accounts on a monthly basis
• Prepare various accrual/prepaid schedules, journal entries, and reconcile balance sheet accounts for month-end closing, or in support of year-end sales and advertising audit
• Assist with Fixed Asset & Inventory Management, GET filings and other quarterly filings, and responding to agency inquiries including survey/questionnaires

QUALIFICATIONS

• Represents the company brand image and share aloha to all customers, business partners, and co-workers at all levels throughout the company
• Associates or bachelor’s degree in Accounting Preferred
• Basic understanding of GAAP accounting principles
• Inventory accounting experience is a plus
• Experience with Sage (MAS 500) is a plus
