This role has been designated as ‘Edge’, which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office. Houston area preferred / Central time zone but would consider Eastern and Western.
How You'll Make Your Mark:
We are looking for a savvy and experienced Editorial Manager who can understand the brand strategy, our messaging, and how to bring it to life through a clear, editorial-backed content roadmap. A manager who can drive brand and message consistency and deliver content production efficiencies.
This is a hands-on Editorial Manager role, and we need someone who is confident in their opinions and recommendations. Specifically, we are looking for someone with a strong background in content or campaign planning and developing compelling editorial themes that resonate. This person must be comfortable working in ambiguity, thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy cross-team collaboration. We’re a global enterprise tech company with a business strategy to offering everything as a service and we believe relevant experience will make it easier to navigate the business and drive change.
We need someone who is forward-thinking to anticipate future trends and drive success of our brand. Someone with knowledge of the tech ecosystem and how to plan content effectively to drive conversations and engagement along the different stages of the buyer journey.
Day to day you will work on planning the top of funnel and thought leadership content required for the always-on global marketing campaign and report to the Head of Content.
Key Focus Areas:
- Deliver and maintain editorial content roadmap
- Determine editorial themes, rooted in agreed messaging
- Drive consensus around recommended themes across the wider Marketing team (e.g. Product Marketing, Customer Experience Marketing, etc.)
- Drive content planning priorities, requirements, and schedules - auditing, commissioning, developing and delivering
- Partner with content producers to establish and deliver against milestones
- Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain one editorial content calendar
- Maintain documentation and collaboration forums
- Manage team of two+
Additional Responsibilities:
- Understand the unified campaign planning methodology
- Infuse rigor in upstream and downstream planning processes
- Identify and create efficiencies with planning tools and processes
- Provide best practices and input into planning tool evaluations
About You:
- 5+ years editorial and content planning experience
- Bachelor's degree / plus project management certification preferred
- Experience in a global B2B technology company
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong market and target audience understanding
- Background in content and/or campaign planning
- Proven skills in developing compelling editorial themes
- Experience in commissioning original research to fuel content creation
- Ability to lead by influence and collaborate with senior level cross-functional colleagues
- Deep project management experience
- Fierce time-management skills and bias for action
- Hands-on roll up your sleeve team player
- Ability to work effectively across functions
- Performance in demanding, fast-paced environments
