Dublin/ London - Global Payroll Manager

The Global Payroll Manager will work within the F inance Function reporting to the CFO and collaborate extensively with the HR Function.

Role Responsibilities:

This role will be responsible for all day-to-day payroll processes for approximately 250 colleagues in a global investment management organis ation with 14 offices operating in 12 jurisdictions. The Global Payroll Manager will lead the monthly payroll process and provid e guidance to Finance and HR as a subject matter expert on all matters relating to payroll and benefits . Additionally, this role will coordinate a twice-yearly bonus cycle, take a leadership role in global compensation benchmarking, and , utilizing data analytics, provide insights and guidance to the business.

The ideal candidate will have a proven background in Payroll , Compensation, and Benefits . Critical knowledge is expected in areas including, but not limited to, pensions, including salary sacrifice, health and life insurance plans and benefits , and global payroll compliance. Primary role and responsibilities include:

  • Managing the processing of employee compensation arrangements, including sign-on bonuses, deferred compensation, and any other compensation arrangements.
  • Process ing changes to the payroll system on a timely basis
  • Assist ing with the timely preparation of regulat ory , reward planning , and compensation filings and reports
  • Manag ing a global governance framework
  • Bring ing subject matter expertise to c ash and deferred compensation incentives
  • M anaging m onthly and annual report ing
  • Global Mobility - assisting in the management of international remuneration structures including tax and payroll sourcing
  • Managing Internal and external stakeholder s to build and maintain relationships
  • Identifying opportunities for i mprovement p rocess es
  • Benchmarking market compensation

The role will also be focused on supporting the globalisation and costing of benefits in strong collaboration with the HR Function, with time spent on liaising with vendors and brokers to initiate, renew, and re-negotiate competitive benefits initiatives, or develop new benefit agendas, across the regions . This role will also support the HR function on compensation benchmarking and HR analytics, dealing with large datasets and communicating these findings to the management teams.


Key attributes of the ideal candidate:

  • Must have Europe an and Asia Pac payroll experience, including strong knowledge of statutory requirements.
  • Payroll exper ience in other global locations , including Asia and Australia , is highly desirable.
  • Must have knowledge of pensions schemes and regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of benefits , global mobility, and executive compensation plans including share options and bonus and deferred compensation schemes .
  • General knowledge of segmental carry and profit sharing arrangements.
  • Experience with s ystems procurement is desirable.
  • Experience in working with outsourced payroll provider s .
  • Interest in global compensation design and strategy, and in staying on top of regulatory changes.
  • An analytical mindset with a p roven ability to understand and resolve complex issues.
  • Strong a ttention to detail with the ability to analy z e and challenge data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Proficiency in e xcel with experience of managing large data sets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence others using tact and diplomacy and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A p roactive and organi z ed self-starter with a track record of driving change and implementing new processes with limited supervision.
  • An i ntellectually curious and open mindset to take on complex new challenges.
  • An ability to be flexible to work in a fast-paced changing environment
  • Collaborative nature to work with a glo b al team across multiple time zones
  • Comfort in documenting procedures to a high standard as well as driving process improvements
  • Working knowledge with Finance and People systems such as Workday or Oracle. Familiarity with and proficiency in Workday is highly desired.
  • University g raduate ( a F inance related degree is desirabl e).
  • Fluency in English, with proficiency in an additional language is desired.
