Jacobs Entertainment is currently in search of a “Laundry Attendant” for Gold Dust West Elko. This property features a modern interior with the latest slot machines and table games including Blackjack, Craps, and 3-Card Poker. Across the parking lot is our 80-room Hampton Inn featuring Wi-Fi, a swimming pool, fitness center and a hot breakfast for all guests.

Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Pick-up soiled linens from laundry chutes and/or laundry carts
• Pre-sort and separate linen accordingly and transfer to work carts
• Separate out laundry requiring mending or special stain removal
• Empty the prepared linen from carts to washers and clean empty carts
• Operate washing and drying equipment, load and unload linens from machines
• Measure and administer cleaning agents to laundry according to formula provided
• Monitor feeder information on washers, make sure all drums are full, and report any irregularities to housekeeping supervisor
• Iron, fold, and count items to maintain Hampton brand standards
• Run folding equipment to fold mats, blankets, towels, bedspreads, etc.
• Feed sheeting into the iron at established production rate
• Feed linens into folding machines or hand folding them at established production rates
• Assist in inventory by counting and recording various items
• Deliver clean linen from laundry department to linen/housekeeping rooms
• Clean and maintain laundry room and equipment
• Follow all OSHA regulations and Company policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
• Properly use all cleaners and cleaning equipment
• May assist guest room attendants with stripping and stocking linens, cleaning and organizing storage/laundry/housekeeping rooms, and stocking supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness of all common areas, meeting rooms, breakfast area, public restrooms, and office areas
• Sweep and mop, dust, vacuum, and empty trash receptacles as needed in all areas
• Check parking lot and surrounding areas for trash and other out of place items; maintain trash receptacles, planter gardens, and ash urns
• Clean and maintain fitness room and pool area, including stocking towels, water and cup dispenser and removal of dirty towels
• Fill out work orders for general maintenance repairs as needed
• Comply with all Hampton brand standards

Skills, Education and Other Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret OSHA required Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
• Identification that establishes identity
• Identification that establishes the right to work in the United States
