Working in a project based environment you will need a relevant honours degree as well as drive, enthusiasm and the ability to work on your own initiative. The role will involve a mixture of office and site based responsibilities. Although post qualification experience is not vital we are looking to attract people who can show experiences of teamwork and initiative. As a project based organisation, the ability to be flexible about location will be of benefit.
What you’ll be doing:

You will be assigned specific responsibilities when you start and a mentor will be identified to help you with your development.
As a Mechanical/Building Services Engineering graduate, you would be involved in supporting the Senior engineering team in preparing the following:
- Calculations (Heating, Cooling, Black and grey Utilities, Compressed Air Etc) and Utility Load Analysis
- Schematics (Airflow & Instrument Diagrams, Utility Process & Instrument Diagrams)
- Schedules & Lists (Equipment, Inline and Terminal items, etc)
- Data Sheets (AHUs, Boilers, Chillers, etc)
- Specification of mechanical plant including chillers, boilers, cooling towers, compressors, pumps
- Drawings (AHU Zoning, Pressurisation, Services General Arrangements)
- Contract Requisitions (installation contracts, turnkey equipment)
- Risk assessments, safety and constructability reviews
- Preparation of cost estimates, tender and construction packages
- Coordination of design with other discipline
- You may also be required at times to attend client sites to assist with:
- Supporting the Senior Engineer with on site activities (Survey activities, BCAR inspections, commissioning etc )
- Support during construction (contractor queries and submittals)
- Hold (or working toward) an Honours and accredited BEng level degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- The drive and motivation to become a chartered engineer
- Clear communication style, proven team working skills and a strong customer focus
- The ability to produce well-presented reports
Ideally you’ll also have:
- Honours MEng degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
