Junior Design Electrical Engineer (Graduate)
Location: Kilkenny
Duration: Permanent

Overview of the role:

This role is an exciting oppurtunity for a newly qualified electrical engineer to kick off their career within a highly established electrical design engineering team.

The role will include supporting the Senior Design Engineer in the preparation of Electrical Designs for the Wastewater and Water Industry.

The role will require the successful candidate to develop their technical skills, communication and interaction with managers and the wider team.

Day to Day Duties:

• Supporting the development of new electrical designs and concepts
• Preparation of cable calculations and design schedules
• Exposure to experience in design of electrical distribution, general services, lighting, fire and intruder alarms, motor control panels and containment systems.
• Assisting with the specification of equipment for procurement in conjunction with purchasing department
• Liaise with other departments i.e. design, contracts, control automation etc. as required

• Manage project documentation according to the requirements of the Project Quality Plan
• Working to IS, EN, BS & IEC standards.
• Travel to site occasionally as required to support design activities

Skills:
This role would be suitable for a newly qualified electrical engineer that has a keen interest in developing skills in an electrical design role;

• Highly organised and efficient.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• IT skills - Knowledge of Microsoft Suite including strong in Excel
• Attention to detail
• Strong technical knowledge
• Team player and ability to work on own initiative
• Self-motivated

Qualifications:

• Level 7/8 or Higher in Electrical Engineer or Power Systems (Requirement)
