Description:
Supports and works with the firm's other Graphic Designers in the creation and production of graphic design and creative services projects in the law firm's Marketing Department. This position requires knowledge of design and computer applications to assist the design team in creating the firm's marketing materials. This position reports to the Creative Services Manager.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Design, produce and revise firm wide marketing materials, including ads, invitations, client alerts, newsletters, announcements, brochures and other collateral, as well as business development materials.
- Create and maintain Web-based collateral, including HTML templates.
- Design electronic communications in Word and translate into HTML-based emails.
- Determine and implement best processes for the design and distribution of communications via Web-based software; test and troubleshoot the design and distribution process for the website and electronic marketing material across various email and Web browser platforms.
- Provide design support for the firm's website and videos for the site, working closely with the Digital Communications Manager.
- Consistently apply and enforce style/brand guidelines.
- Work with vendors and maintain relationships, including outside design firm(s).
- Special projects and additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years design experience, or equivalent, preferably within a professional services firm or design firm.
- Demonstrate technical skills.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, Acrobat), Word, Excel and PowerPoint software.
- Web knowledge, including HTML, the ability to troubleshoot, and experience with various email and Web browsers, and CSS.
- Strong working knowledge of PC computer systems.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines, with multi-tasking skills and a team player mentality.
- Detailed oriented with excellent organizational/communication skills.
- Ability to work quickly with a low production error rate.
- Familiarity in dealing with commercial printers and service bureaus, and with preparing documents for print, digital and electronic output.
- Must be able to take direction, design and organize marketing projects on your own as necessary.
- Must have a flexible schedule to accommodate last-minute rush deadlines.
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field required. Advanced degree a plus.
This position may be filled in New York City, Colorado, or California. In accordance with the New York City Human Rights Law, the Colorado Equal Pay Act, and the California Pay Transparency Law, the pay range for this position in New York City is $58,200 - $87,200/year, in Colorado is
$50,900-$76,300/year,
and in California is
$55,800-$91,000/year.
These ranges are specific to these three locations and may not be applicable to other locations. An individual's actual compensation will depend on the individual's qualifications and experience.
