An award-winning media group in Michigan is seeking a top-notch graphic designer. The right candidate must be organized, detail-oriented and creative. Strong InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and knowledge of grammar are a must, as well as the ability to work well under deadline pressure. Our graphic design department works with three newspapers and special projects. Our graphic designers generally work Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some press days will include evening hours.
Responsibilities:
- Design advertising
- Design special publications
- Some layout of newspapers
Qualifications:
- 6 month to 1+ years experience in pagination or related field preferred
- Journalism experience a plus
- Outstanding news judgement a must
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign a must
- Experience in Illustrator and Photoshop a must
