Under supervision, you will performs a range of functions, covering multiple pharmacy locations, units or other settings during a variety of shifts, including but not limited to, float shifts. Your duties will include the preparation and dispensing of drugs in all inpatient settings; review and verification of medication orders and patient medical records; optimizing safe medication therapy; review of patient medication profiles; counseling patients on appropriate drug use; interacting and/or rounding with other health professionals to help provide safe and effective use of medications; provision of advanced clinical services (e.g., pharmacokinetic dosing, therapeutic interchange, IV/PO conversions, TPN and aminoglycoside monitoring, pharmacist interventions) to neonatal, pediatric and adult patients according to departmental policy and procedures, with possible focus on pharmacy specialty (i.e., oncology, pediatrics, geriatrics, ambulatory care); oversee dispensing, return and waste of controlled substances on assigned shift/unit. Initiate, innovate and complete clinical, operational and/or management projects, in collaboration with Pharmacy Management. You will work in assigned centralized and decentralized pharmacy areas and patient care units and perform in leadership and teaching roles with potential to take on a supervisor position in the future. You will have the opportunity to attend and present at department, hospital and medical staff committees and may be involved in development, initiation, dispensing, monitoring clinical research or investigative studies. Hourly Salary Range: $81.37 - $101.15 Schedule: Varied graveyard shifts
We’re seeking a dedicated clinical professional with: Pharm D. degree and current CA Pharmacy license Active BLS ACLS, PALS with renewal every 2 years ASHP-accredited residency (highly preferred). Inpatient pharmacy experience (highly preferred). Exceptional communication, interpersonal, organizational and follow-through skills. Knowledge of and ability to perform age specific and disease specific pharmacokinetic calculations. Ability to compound intravenous admixtures and other sterile products.
