I. Overview: The West Side Tennis Club prides ourselves on its beautiful landscape. The grounds are consistently maintained by our ground keepers that are experts on ground maintenance. We have over 40+ different tennis courts and they’re properly maintained in addition to our gardens and walkways.

II. Job Description (Includes, but is not limited to):

· Maintaining lawns, courts, gardens, fertilizing, weeding, soil conditioning, mulching, and pesticide application.

· Responsible for the irrigation system and installing sprinklers.

· Performs routine maintenance of power equipment.

· Lawn maintenance and lawn mowing

· Trimming hedges and cleaning up trimmings, rake leaves,

· Performs adequate sanitation procedures for taking out trash, proper garbage disposal,

· Seasonally operate snow blower or snowplow, Shoveling snow, sidewalks, steps, doorways, pathways.

III. Experience Requirements:

• Landscape Maintenance 1 year preferred.

IV. Education & Certifications/ Licenses:

· High School Diploma Preferred

· Driver’s License Preferred.

V. Required Skills/Abilities:

· Ability to operate various types of power equipment including lawnmowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and other landscaping equipment.

· Ability to use hand tools required for landscaping.

· Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments.

VI. Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of physical activity such as: walking, standing, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, or kneeling.

· Must be physically able to operate power equipment.

· Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at a time.

· Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.

VII. Compensation:

· Local Teamsters Union Member

· $15.50
