Job description
SUMMARY: A Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the appearance and safety of the hotel grounds in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain the appearance and safety of the hotel grounds including, but not limited to, lawns, driveways, pathways, patios, verandas, entrances, sidewalks, etc.
- Cleans and maintains public areas to ensure a safe and clean experience for hotel guests.
- Sweep all outdoor common areas and parking areas
- Maintain and clean pool deck and pool furniture
- Empty all trash receptacles in public areas
- Clean trash receptacles
- Pressure clean public areas
- Assist department with outdoor maintenance including but not limited to painting and landscaping
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous hotel-related experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate with the public, hotel staff, and management in a professional manner.
- Ability to learn safety, emergency, and accident prevention policies and procedures.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms overhear, bending, and stooping to perform cleaning tasks.
- Ability to use pressure cleaner, blower, and other machinery as needed to perform duties.
- Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs
- Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs
