- Description:
Fertilize, and water lawns, shrubbery, ground cover, flowering plants and trees
Prepare beds for planting
Remove leaves and rubbish from grounds
Spray herbicides as trained and directed
Weed small areas
In a training capacity, and/or under close supervision, cultivate, prune, plant, transplant, fertilize, and water shrubbery, ground cover, flowering plants, and trees
Adhere to safety rules
Requirements:
- Demonstrated strong communications skills (both verbal and written).
Ability to understand and follow job-related instructions given in English, either verbally or in writing.
Basic computer skills(e-mail/Calendaring) and use of smartphones.
Valid California Non-commercial Class C license.
Horticultural industry-related certification is preferred.
Basic horticultural knowledge.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Palo Alto, CA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
