Job description
The Derby Recreation Commission is seeking a Group Fitness Instructor with experience and/or certifications in general group fitness instruction.
Essential Job Functions (listing most important first):
- To coordinate and develop an exercise program on the dates and times assigned by the Fitness Coordinator.
- Take an accurate daily attendance report to be turned in on the proper form.
- Make recommendations for the improvement of the program to the Fitness Coordinator.
- Work all dates pertaining to the fitness program.
- Carry out all duties assigned by the Fitness Coordinator relating to the program.
- Insure that facilities and equipment are properly maintained and assure proper order after every class.
Additional Functions:
- Carry out all duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Attend all training and workshops assigned by the Fitness Coordinator
Qualifications:
- Should have proper knowledge of exercise programs.
- She/he should be energetic and proficient in the promotion of a progressive program.
- Must be 18 and older, and have a valid driver's license.
- Should maintain CPR/PR and First Aide certifications.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
