Guest Services Professional

Guest Services are responsible for providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests through out their stay while maximizing room revenue and occupancy. Directs and coordinates the activities of the front desk, reservations, guest services, and telephone areas. Prepare daily reports and budget for front office department. Must have flexible schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains working relationships and communicates with all departments.
- Verifies that accurate room status information is maintained and properly communicated.
- Resolves guest problems quickly, efficiently, and courteously.
- Updates group information. Maintains, monitors, and prepares group requirements. Relays information to appropriate personnel.
- Reviews and completes credit limit report.
- Receives information from the previous shift manger and passes on pertinent details to the oncoming team member.
- Enforces all cash-handling, check-cashing, and credit policies.
- Wears the proper uniform at all times.
- Upholds the hotel's commitment to hospitality.
- Maximizes room revenue and occupancy by reviewing status daily. Analyzes rate variance, monitor credit report and maintain close observation of daily house count. Monitor selling status of house daily.
- Monitors high balance guest and take appropriate action.
- Ensure implementation of all hotel policies and house rules.
- Ensure logging and delivery of all messages, packages, and mail in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor all VIP 's special guests and requests.
- Maintain required pars of all front office and stationary supplies.
- Review Front office log and Guest issues on a daily basis.
- Maintain an organized and comprehensive filing system with documentation of purchases, registration cards, schedules, forecasts, reports and tracking logs.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.75 - $17.75 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
Supplemental pay types:
- Bonus pay
- Commission pay
- Tips
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Palm Springs, CA 92262: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
- Hotel & Accommodations Guest Services Staff: 1 year (Preferred)
- Hotel experience: 1 year (Preferred)
