Head Chef

We are recruiting a Head Chef for a busy Bar & Restaurant. Require a Head to lead a good kitchen team in a busy establishment.

The Role

• Overall responsibility for the kitchen’s daily operations.
• Liaising with the relevant companies for food orders.
• Creating new dishes and menus.
• Monitoring and controlling stock levels.
• Prepare and cook the best seafood and locally sourced foods the west coast has to offer.
• Developing new menu ideas that are innovative and customer focused.
• Implementing effective cost controls without compromising standards of service.
• The position requires a professional and talented Chef with a natural flare for excellent food quality.
• Delegate and assist in training of all Chefs and kitchen porters.
• Supervise and carry out preparation and presentation of all food for the restaurant.
• Food ordering on a daily basis.

The Candidate

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Leadership and management experience.
• Experience in butchery and fish filleting.
• Experience in ordering and receiving orders.
• High levels of HACCP awareness.
• Proven team leader.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels and senior management.
• Passionate about delivering a consistently high-standard of customer service.
• Relevant work permit/visa to work in the Republic of Ireland.

Salary: Up to €50,000.00 per year
