Job Role - Head of Coffee and Roastery Development

Role Overview - To take control of all aspects of Rocksalt’s coffee journey and the development of the Rocksalt roastery. This is a key management position in Rocksalt and has four key pillars of responsibility, our barista teams, our machinery, our coffee and also innovation and growth.

Reports to - Group / Senior Operations Management

About the Role -

The successful candidate will be required to -

• Focus on building a two tiered market leading training program for our teams and baristas.
• A driven focus on coffee standards and consistency across Rocksalt.
• Have experience in regards to coffee machine and grinder maintenance.
• Be able to help us improve working efficiencies and set-ups.
• Help us continue to build our coffee brand both within and outside our cafes.
• Help continue and build on current B2B coffee business and relationships.
• Assist in the planning and development of the Rocksalt Coffee Roastery.
• Assist in building relationships within the coffee community.
• Help Rocksalt achieve its long-term goals and become the best coffee brand in Ireland.

About you -

The successful candidate will have -

• Extensive knowledge of all things coffee.
• Proven management experience within the coffee industry.
• A track record of success in regards to training and staff development.
• Previous experience in a coffee roastery is a major advantage.
• Great communication skills and the ability to promote an excellent working environment
• Courage to show confidence, independence to get the job done, leadership and motivational skills
• Experience in rostering, managing budgets, targets and KPI’s.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: €30,000.00-€45,000.00 per year
