We're looking for an experienced Head of Sales to join our vibrant Dublin-based team. Using your prospecting and consultative selling skills, dynamism, and initiative, you will be responsible for the development of and transformation to a digitalised sales and marketing strategy thus growing our customer base in the financial and corporate market, as well as leveraging contacts in your current network. The successful candidate could be based remotely or in our Dublin office.

Head of Sales - Job Details

This role requires a minimum of three years of sales experience in a relevant industry. The ideal candidate will enjoy a fast-paced environment where they can hit the ground running and make this role their own. This role could be for you if you are someone who thrives on researching and learning about customers and the industry, so you can speak to customers in the context of their businesses and the challenges they face.

The Head of Sales role focuses on maximising new customer acquisitions through digital strategy as well as prospecting, account mapping, initial sales calls, proposals, and sales material development, plus following up with targeted accounts to close the sale. You will be the first point of contact with our future customers and have a fantastic opportunity to set the standard for the client’s journey with CityLearning.

This role involves:

  • developing a strong working knowledge of CityLearning’s customers, services & products and contributing to developing the overall sales & marketing strategy.
  • conducting market research. Proactively developing and deploying quarterly sales strategies around which companies to target and which new products to develop.
  • finding the relevant contacts within those companies and reaching out in a systematic and personalised manner via email, LinkedIn, and phone.
  • setting up meetings, qualifying opportunities, and guiding prospects through the sales process.
  • educating prospects on the value of our products and services. Using your domain expertise to create credibility and trust with our customers.
  • growing our customer base, by prospecting and driving inbound leads to closure.
  • monitoring and understanding regulatory changes that necessitate new products or updates. Attending relevant events and checking other sources to ensure your knowledge remains up to date.
  • using Pipedrive as a CRM tool to maintain accurate opportunity information and customer intelligence, manage client communication, and prioritise leads to effective closing.
  • developing and editing new and existing marketing material such as brochures, email campaigns and updating our website and LinkedIn page.

Abilities and skills:

  • consultative selling experience – ability to discuss with and understand client needs, map client requirements to our products, provide comprehensive solutions, quote prices, prepare proposals and product presentations.
  • strong interpersonal & collaborative skills.
  • working knowledge of sales processes, methods, and techniques,
  • highly effective communication skills (written, verbal and presentational) as well as excellent closing skills.
  • ambitious self-starter with high energy and motivation.
  • proficient data management skills.

  • self-motivated with a passion to expand skills and understanding within given fields including eLearning, the law and technology.
  • intuitive problem solver.

  • technical aptitude, including fast typing skills, detailed and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Experience using the Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop and InDesign is an advantage.

Minimum Requirements

  • Proven minimum 3-year track record of sales success in a professional B2B environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree (Hons).
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Highly motivated team player.
  • Proficient in Pipedrive, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar Sales CRM & Pipeline Management software.

Preferred:

  • Experience in financial and non-financial markets dealing with associated compliance obligations and regulations.
  • Background/experience in law, finance, eLearning, education and/or technology.
  • Knowledge of additional languages.
  • Ability to come into our Dublin-based office for the initial training period.

Salary: Package €55k-€75k year 1, depending on experience, with opportunity to significantly increase renumeration.
