Job Description

Role involves being the Health and Safety representative to ensure everyone working within the contract complies with health and safety laws. You will also be responsible for establishing policies that will create and maintain a safe workplace across the contract estate. As a health and safety representative you must have excellent attention to detail to identify hazards. You will also be able to discover opportunities for improving conditions and execute various safety programs. The ability to communicate guidelines to a multidisciplinary workforce is essential. The goal is to ensure the workplace of the contract meets all legal expectations and actively supports occupational health and safety. This is a fully onsite role.

Job Responsibilities

• Planning, implementation & review of a suitable Health & Safety system.
• Promote good health, safety and environmental practices throughout the contract TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES
• Ensure that Fire Plans and Fire Risk Assessments and Business continuity plans are produced and kept up to date to reflect changes in personnel or process.
• Develop and monitor Risk Assessments and make recommendations to ensure a safe effective workplace across the contract
• Review all sub-contractor RAMS in advance of any work taking place across the contract estate.
• Create risk assessments and method statements for all works and develop and implement appropriate controls.
• Review and develop local health and safety procedures in keeping with best practice
• Ensure that safety audits are carried out throughout the contract in conjunction with the management team
• Update and maintain Health and Safety procedures and the Safety Statement in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Accident Management - work with management to ensure a process is established which includes incident investigation, identification and implementation of all corrective actions and effective preventative programs.
• Investigate accidents or near-misses. Prepare accident reports including recommendations to prevent recurrence.
• Be the custodian of the Training Records for all sub-contractor personnel working on behalf of Aramark and for direct Aramark employees on the contract.
• Preparation and implementation of site emergency preparedness and response plans; ensuring adequate evacuation/ response arrangements are in place for fire and other emergency situations.

Qualifications

• Ability to produce Monthly KPI Reports.
• Ability to create a positive and safe environment for the site.
• Work as part of the site facilities team.
• Relevant 3rd level qualification.
• SAFE Pass and other relevant certifications.
• Sound knowledge of H&S legislation, policies and procedures.
• Minimum of 2 years H&S Management experience.
• Facilities management experience.
• Interfacing with representatives of customers and their suppliers by face / email.
• Experience of working in a fast-paced facilities environment.
• Team Player demonstrating flexibility.
