Healthcare Assistant - Bon Secours Care Village

The Bon Secours Care Village is unique among our facilities in that it provides long term, convalescent and respite care. It is a state-of-the-art purpose built facility with specific design features. We pride ourselves on exceptional care provided by our outstanding team of highly qualified staff. We are seeking a Healthcare Assistant for full time hours to join our team. The Healthcare Assistant is responsible for looking after our residents' health and well being. Shifts include both weekdays and weekends and Healthcare Assistant will be responsible for the following:

Roles and responsibilities:

• Assist in the delivery of high quality care to our residents
• Promote the equality and dignity of our residents at all times
• Carry out assigned and delegated tasks involving the direct care of our residents
• Assist residents with all their daily activities
• Maintain a safe environment through the delivery of exceptional and high quality care

Candidate Requirements:

• Have FETAC / QQI level 5 in Care of the Older Person and Healthcare Skills
• Be caring in nature, sympathetic to the needs of the resident and possess good communication and interpersonal skill
• Possess excellent organisational skills
• Be flexible and capable of working both independently and as part of a team

• Healthcare: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare (required)

Shift availability:

• Day shift (preferred)
• Night shift (preferred)
