Purpose
This position is Full Time (40 hrs. per week) Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm. *Open to seasonal hires.
Essential Functions
- Escorts residents to appointments (depending on the level of assistance required)
- Answers the phone when needed
- Passes out and setup meal trays (HCC)
- Participates in resident walking club or engaging with residents in small group activities
- Assembles and disassemble resident isolation setups
- Transports residents with ambulation to and from their room to appropriate areas for activities and meals.
- Takes and records the residents’:
- ADLs
- Vitals (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, weight, and respiration rates)
- Intake and output of food and fluid
- Provides companion services according to service plan.
- Observes and reports to Licensed Staff all changes in condition (including significant changes), behavior or whereabouts that may require intervention.
- Monitors and supervises residents as assigned.
- Records all chargeable time provided by Arcadia Family of Companies (AFC).
- Obtains and issues supplies, as needed which may require driving the company vehicle.
- Assists in maintaining a safe and clean environment for residents and staff through assistance with laundry, changing bed linens; cleaning, sanitizing and maintaining wheelchairs.
- Responsible for maintaining an adequate level of supplies and ordering as necessary.
- Supervises and encourages participation in exercise classes, social and recreational activities.
- Adheres to assigned work schedules and accurately uses the time and attendance system.
- Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement and/or Quality Assurance Programs.
- Interacts with clients and members in accordance with AFCs’ mission, core values, mindsets and guideposts.
- Exercises caution and good safety judgment in uncertain conditions or situations, and report and/or correct hazards, potential or actual.
- Ensures that all clients’ and members’ rights and privacy are protected and enforced, and establishes and maintains a close liaison with clients, members’, and families.
- Attends mandatory in-service programs.
- Complies with annual employee health screening in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Participates and assists during emergency drills and situations such as fire, fire alarms, hurricanes, and other possible emergencies as outlined in the Disaster Response Playbook and/or the disaster policy.

While performing their essential functions, employees may be occasionally exposed to the following conditions:
