The Hospital@Home Administrator role will provide excellent administration and secretarial support to the Clinical and Non Clinical Members of Vhi Hospital@Home and Vhi Midwife Support Service. This is 12 month FTC Contract.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Provide administrative support as directed.
  • Deal with all customer (telephone/fax) queries and referrals in a timely and professional manner., communicating the need for any follow up to appropriate members of the Clinical Team
  • Process Hospital@Home claims in a timely and accurate manner.
  • To support the administration requirements of the Vhi Midwife Support Service.
  • Secretarial support for our SNM’s and senior management team as & when required
  • Production of weekly/monthly patient activity reports
  • Allocation of appointments into schedule as directed by the General Manager/SNM.
  • In conjunction with the Senior Nurse Manager (SNM) and the Clinical Care team, assist in developing a record for each individual referred to Vhi Hospital@Home and Midwife Support Service.
  • Be responsible for maintaining and where necessary updating employee records.
  • Co-Ordinate the Nursing and Medical Rota’s including our weekend medical team, weekly/monthly. Co-ordinate the allocation of clients to the midwives for monthly registrations.
  • Booking of locum doctors with agreed providers to cover annual & other leave for our full-time doctors.
  • Co-ordinate all telecommunication requirements for Vhi Hospital@Home and Midwife Support Service.
  • Liaise with external IT support on issues related to Vhi Hospital@Home and Midwife Support Service IT requirements.
  • Training of new staff in the use of our patient management system & other equipment.
  • Co-ordinates with management team in relation to commencement of new staff.
  • Be responsible for keeping patient records both written and electronic secure and in line with company policy and legislative requirements.
  • Ensure Vhi Hospital@Home and Vhi Midwife Support Service’s databases are accurate, complete and only available to authorised personnel in line with company policy.
The successful candidate must have:
  • Prioritising and organisational skills is essential
  • Strong problem solving and analytical thinking
  • Excellent administrative skills.
  • Excellent IT skills
  • An aptitude or previous experience in a medical environment.
  • Demonstrated alignment to the Vhi values.
