Rex at the Royal, formerly Rex 1516, has reopened in the historic Royal Theater; we are a popular South Street West neighborhood restaurant. Guests are attracted to the dining experience; engaging with Low Country cuisine, elevated cocktails, and the glamor of the revived theater.

Rex at the Royal is currently looking for a qualified, part-time host.

The Host sets the tone of the dining experience and plays a valuable role in the organization of a successful service. The restaurant depends on the Host for their people skills and ability to multitask; in this role you are juggling the nuances of individuals’ needs with the big picture goal of maintaining a hospitable and welcoming dining experience.

Shifts currently include dinner and Sunday brunch.

Both fine dining and neighborhood restaurant experience is preferred, as we embrace both. Willingness to learn and memorize details of seasonal menus is required for success in this role.
