Hourly Helpdesk Technician

Description:
Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Information Technology, the Helpdesk Technician will provide initial point of contact for all staff inquires for technology support. General responsibilities include responding to telephone and helpdesk requests from end users for assistance with computers, printers, telephones and university standard software.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Detail- oriented and must possess strong communication and skills.
- Ability to work on multiple issues at once and handle overlapping timelines.
- High level of motivation and initiative, attention to detail, clear communication skills, good time management, takes direction and feedback well, and good problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office Suite, and other applications such as Zoom
Example of Work:
- Answer Helpdesk calls.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and replace desktop, laptop and tablet computers as needed.
- Document issues and resolutions
- Installation of additional software
- Process post image configuration changes
- Complete final staff delivery preparations
- Configure workstation settings, as needed
- Move, lift, unbox, setup, and image laptops as needed
- Fully test imaged laptops
- Migrate user settings and data, as needed
- Communicate with TESU staff about their systems (via Zendesk and/or email)
