Job Title: Houseperson/Housekeeper
Department: Housekeeping
Reports To: Housekeeping Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Approved By: Housekeeping Manager

Summary:
Responsible for cleaning the entire Club. Tasks include vacuuming, sweeping, emptying trash cans, dusting, and mopping floors. Assists the Housekeeping Manager in maintaining the care and maintenance of the club facilities. Reports any items that need repair, maintenance, or safety hazards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Cleans windows and mirrors.
- Dusts and polishes furniture and fixtures.
- Polishes elevator doors.
- Sweeps the floors.
- Vacuums the carpet and mops the floors.
- Scrubs the floors.
- Cleans walls, vents, fans, stairs, and ceilings.
- Disinfects toilet bowls and urinals.
- Restocks all supplies including toilet paper, soap, and hand towels.
- Collects and properly disposes of garbage.
- Maintains housekeeping tools, materials, and equipment.
- Responds promptly to member requests.
- Reports any damage and/or plumbing problems to the Front Desk or Manager.
- Attends departmental meetings as required.
- Communicates with members, co-workers, management, and the general public in a courteous and professional manner.
- Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
- Exhibits and maintains a professional demeanor to reflect a positive image of The Club at Admirals Cove.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of vacuum cleaner use and proper floor moping procedures.
- Knowledge of working in a laundry room environment.
- Ability to understand and carry out instructions.
- Ability to interact professionally and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, co-workers, and members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with many interruptions.
- Must be able to multi-task and think quickly.
- Must be able to work efficiently in a stressful environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
Less than high school education; or one to two years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Computer Skills:
No computer skills needed.
Certificates and Licenses:
Human Trafficking certificate.
