Housekeeping and Hygiene

Purpose

To ensure that the proper housekeeping and hygienic system is implemented and maintain throughout the company premise.

Scope

It shall cover all departments.

Procedure

The housekeeping and hygienic system is based on the following principles:

1. Segregation: Segregating items in the work area into groups of like items. Items for storage, production or disposal shall be segregated to eliminate errors and reduce risk for food safety, quality, and legality.

2. Systematic Arrangement: Establishing a place for every item and ensuring that an item is kept in its designated place so that they are easily accessible and can easily be used. Items should be clearly identified by labeling.

3. Cleaning: All work areas shall be cleaned continuously to control risks of hazards to food products, and for employee safety. Machinery and equipment used for working should also be maintained clean.

4. Self-Discipline: All employees is responsible for strictly following rules and procedures and maintain standards while working at VICS.

The entire staff at VICS is engaged in applying these principles to ensure that operations can be performed without error and in a well-regulated fashion. This will increase the overall quality of product and service. Operations can be performed safely and comfortably, reducing the chances of accidents. Preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment reduces the number of break downs. Operations can be performed safely increasing the efficiency and productivity.

It is the responsibility of every employee to see that his area is kept clean and in order. Managers and supervisors are responsible for overseeing application of these principles in their areas of operation and maintaining the work area neat and clean.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $10.20 per hour
