Job description

Responsibilities:

• Cleaning guest rooms ie: Housekeepers are responsible for keeping guest rooms clean, including cleaning rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers, emptying wastebaskets and transporting other trash and waste to disposal areas. Employees will carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts, sweep, scrub, and/or polish floors, using brooms and mops and make beds, dust and polish furniture and equipment, wash windows, walls, and woodwork, clean hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, stairways and other work areas so that health standards are met. Employees will sometimes help fold laundry at the end of the day. This does not always happen and does not take up anymore than 15% of weekly hours worked. Employees will be using cleaning chemicals. Employees are thoroughly trained in all duties listed above. Training will provide employees with exceptional housekeeping skills, that will also be conducive to completing the cleaning process of one room with accuracy, in 30 minutes or less.
