Our Human Resources Department located in Queensbury, NY currently has a Full Time (40 -hour) Human Resource Assistant position available. The Human Resource Assistant is a Full Time Monday – Friday position. The Human Resource Assistant provides administrative support to the HR Department on all personnel and HR system matters including, but not limited to postings, Change of Status procedure, references, new hire appointment preparation, letters, mailing, filing, data entry including HRIS, HR logs/spreadsheets and all other HR systems as required. When assigned: special projects, research/coordinate/participate in career/job fairs/networking events, and other career related events to promote and market career opportunities with WWAARC.

A typical work week is Monday through Friday during agency business hours. Due to the nature of the position, schedule flexibility is given and expected in return. As a Human Resource Assistant, you must be available for some evenings and occasional weekend hours; as needs require, for recruitment events, projects, trainings, and agency events. Travel between the two Administrative Offices is required (Quaker Road, Queensbury & Krumkill Road, Slingerlands); as well as travel within the 3 counties and outside for recruitment events. This is hourly non-exempt position.

Want to be a WWAARC HR Assistant and join our Team? The Human Resource Assistant is required to have a High School Diploma or equivalent. An associates or bachelor’s degree preferred. HRCI – aPHR/PHR/SPHR, SHRM-SCP/CP certifications are strongly preferred, but not required. A willingness to obtain certification in HR is required. Prior experience in Human Resources strongly preferred. One to two years office administration/administrative assistance experience required. Experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems preferred. Strong communication skills are required: in person, phone, written, email, videoconferencing. Strong computer skills preferred: Word, Excel, must be willing to learn new computer programs. Must be able to work independently and in teams. WWAARC Agency insurable Driver’s License required.
