The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible to provide support to leaders and employees across LGI businesses. This position serves as an advisor and coach to managers and employees throughout the employee lifecycle with key focus on recruiting, employee relations, performance management, employee development and investigations.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelors-level degree relevant to Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP designation preferred.
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of State and Federal employment law.
  • Minimum five years’ progressively responsible HR management experience; previous HR manufacturing experience also required.
  • Strong leader who has working knowledge and experience in all areas of Human Resources.
  • Full life cycle recruitment experience preferred.
JOB DUTIES:
  • Builds a strong business relationship with assigned businesses providing day-to-day, point-of-contact support.
  • Partners with leaders to build talent capability through career experiences, development opportunities, training and mentoring engagements.
  • Provide guidance, expertise and support to managers on performance counseling, disciplinary actions, investigations, organization restructuring and workforce analysis.
  • Serve as a key resource to employees answering questions, facilitating career discussions and developmental opportunities.
  • Supports the talent review process, headcount management and succession planning for assigned business areas.
  • Collaborate with other HR functional partners to execute human resource strategies and annual initiatives (compensation, benefits, employee engagement, performance management, learning & development) to meet business objectives and support future business growth.
  • Works closely with management and employees to facilitate change initiatives, build engagement and increase productivity and retention.
  • Partner with hiring managers in full staffing process. This includes developing job descriptions, facilitating requisition process, identifying potential candidate sources, interviewing, candidate communication and onboarding.
  • Prepares and delivers presentations for managers and employees on a variety of HR-related topics.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Administers and maintains knowledge of HR policies and procedures, as well as local, state and federal labor laws.
  • Travel as business needs require, which is expected to be less than 20% for purpose of training, site visits, conferences, etc.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
  • Experience with HR systems required; experience with Workday preferred.

This job requires the mental capabilities to input, process and understand the mechanics of the benefits offered to the employees. Process benefit information ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the benefit administrator function. Furthermore, the incumbent of this position must apply logical thought processes, good judgment and solve problems related to the job functions as they arise.
