Summary of Role

NovaSource is seeking an HR Business Partner to support our North American Utility Power Plant (UPP) and Commercial (C&I) businesses. This position will report to the Chief People Officer. This is an in-office position located in Chandler, Arizona. The role is a strategic business partner for our business unit leaders, a change agent and developer of the organization, and a member of our global HR management team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Becomes a trusted advisor to managers and senior leaders.
  • Coaches supervisors and managers, helps to build effective teams, and helps design and facilitate professional development and leadership development efforts.
  • Helps develop and drive company-wide programs and initiatives, including performance management, compensation reviews, team and community development, employee engagement, and training and career development.
  • Selects, develops, and assesses talent at all levels, in context of the goals and strategies of the business.
  • Prevents and resolves employee relations issues and identifies and addresses root-cause human resource issues.
  • Supports and enables the HR Operations team.
  • Works collaboratively and communicates effectively with leaders, managers, and employees at all levels.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance across the United States. Partners with the CPO and legal department as needed or required.
  • And of course, performs other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Strong leadership, intellect, and passion for building culture, attracting and developing top talent, and building a high-performance organization.
  • Key skills and abilities include coaching, influencing, facilitation, organizational development, business strategy, change management, presentation, communication, and process development.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems objectively and independently.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and an ability to prioritize based on the needs of the business.
  • Track record of delivering results in an ever-changing and fast environment.
  • Strong relationship building and verbal and written communication skills.


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Five+ years of relevant experience.
  • Must have in-depth understanding of Human Resources.
  • Proficiency and efficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience working with ADP WFN preferred.
