Pay Grade/Pay Range: 57 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 36,088.00 Midpoint - $ 52,686.40
Department/Organization: 506161 - HR Service Center
Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm
Job Summary: The HR Business Specialist will partner with one or more assigned HR Business Partners to execute HR initiatives that support the employment life cycle, including but not limited to: benefits, recruiting, compensation and classification, onboarding and communication.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and some Human Resources experience; OR Associate degree and three (3) years of Human Resources experience; OR High School Diploma and five (5) years of Human Resources experience.
Skills and Knowledge: Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects independently and effectively with efficiency and appropriate follow-through while exercising discretion and independent judgement. Must be able to work in a team-based environment and also independently to meet deadlines. Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and must have exceptional time management skills. Ability to maintain a professional approach to dealing with diverse individuals and issues with an exceptional customer service focus.
Preferred Qualifications: Human Resources experience in a higher education environment, preferably with working knowledge of federal and state regulations and UA's HR systems (PageUp, Banner, Workforce Management eTime), and experience working in a highly confidential, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. SHRM or HRCI certification.
