HR Manager
Michael Murphy Home Furnishings are now recruiting for an experienced HR Manager. The ideal candidate will have generalist HR experience. The overall role of the HR Manager is to provide HR support to a group of 140 plus employees across multiple sites This position will report into the CEO and COO.
This role is based in our Head Office in Newbridge, Co. Kildare
Salary: €55,000 per annum and pension scheme
The Role:
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for the entire group
- Oversee the operation of the recruitment dashboard (Occupop)
- Liaise with payroll on a weekly basis on staff pay items.
- Work with all departments to assess and manage training requirements and programs
- Facilitate the implementation of management leadership training programs
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
- Nurture positive employee relations at all levels through effective grievance/conflict resolutions.
- Advise staff and management on company policy issues as well as employee relation issues.
- Oversee performance management of all staff via the online dashboard
- Maintain employee records on Softworks system
- Promote a best practice approach when advising, coaching, and guiding managers on all people-related matters, policies, and practices whilst ensuring legislative compliance.
- Maintain HR database (Softworks), including personnel files, timesheets, and other absences.
- Embed programs and initiatives to promote employee wellbeing and satisfaction.
- Continually promote company values
- Travel between our locations in Dublin, Kildare, and Wexford.
- Adhere to company health and safety regulations
Skills and Experience Required:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a HR Management role.
- Degree in HR Management
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases
- Ability to work on own initiative and in a standalone capacity, as well as having the ability to work as part of a team.
- Excellent hiring manager and candidate engagement skills
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to influence strategy along with leadership skills
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
