Here at Avantor, we are looking for an experienced human resources professional to lead our Ireland HR function on a Maternity Cover basis for 9-12 months.

In your role, you will be accountable for all aspects of HR for our Ireland business, while also supporting and coaching our managers and team leaders to deliver effective people solutions and overall engagement initiatives.

What you'll do

• Coach and mentor the internal management team on a range of HR matters including talent and succession planning, recruitment, learning and development, recruitment, change management, reward, and employee relations
• Collaborate with the management team on a range of ER cases, advising on suitable outcomes
• Develop the existing performance management culture within the business, taking ownership of the process in collaboration with managers
• Suggest and implement new strategies and methods for improvements to employee engagement and general good communication within the Ireland group of associates
• Work closely with your HR Administrator to ensure that SLA's and processes for administrative activities are adhered to and refined where required
• Ensure that we remain compliant with employment legislation and company policy; adapting global policies to fit local culture and legislation

What you'll need

• Generalist HR experience at a senior level is essential
• CIPD Qualified or relevant degree in HR or business
• Extensive understanding and knowledge of Irish employment law
• Experience implementing Change Management strategies in large, multinational business is preferred
