Job Summary

The HR Operations Manager will be responsible for the management of the HR operations function for JP Morgan in Ireland. We are seeking a solutions focused professional who will manage a team catering for the needs of an expanding Global Leader in Dublin, Areas of focus include payroll, pension & benefits, time keeping, regulatory oversight & governance and project management.

The role will support and drive the Human Resources strategic agenda, participating and leading improvements to the current model, enhancing the overall control environment and working to proactively mitigate risk through effective governance.

The individual will be required to build positive relationships and partner with external vendors, business and functional colleagues to ensure consistency and best practice as well effective communication with stakeholders. JP Morgan has been expanding our footprint in Dublin and this is an exciting time to be joining our growing HR function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic input into the management and delivery of a HR function
  • Responsible and accountable for the timeliness, accuracy and operational delivery (including employee deductions, insurances/taxes, withholding and remittance to appropriate agencies and authorities) of the end to end payroll processes and the team responsible for executing.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with local regulations, internal/external processes and ensuring new regulations (such as changes in social security, employment and tax laws) are highlighted and changes are implemented.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with timekeeping regulations in Ireland.
  • Liaising, interacting and maintaining relationships with vendors to ensure timely and accurate service delivery as well as ensuring appropriate governance and outsourcing standards are met.
  • Accountable for employee and HR inquiries / escalations.
  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate controls are followed, identifying and challenging any gaps/risks and ensuring appropriate controls or remediation is put in place.
  • Continuous evaluation of internal processes to improve efficiency, simplification and employee experience
  • Leading and driving projects locally and regionally.

Ideal candidate profile
  • Previous People Management is a must
  • Knowledge in HR operation function and/or experience/background in Operations: i.e. operating procedures, operating model design, strategy
  • Knowledge of Irish regulation & laws
  • Advanced Excel skills with ability to analyse/ reconcile multiple data points and be able to articulate and present findings.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize deliverables for oneself and team.
  • Ability to develop strong partnerships with colleagues across the firm and external partners.
  • Be a self-motivated and result-oriented individual with an ability and experience to manage, motivate and a lead team of skilled staff consistently, while taking equitable and fair decisions in leadership.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines.
  • Ability to make sound business decisions and understand when to escalate issues
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to changes in procedures, processes and systems.
  • Strong customer focus and strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex processes or decisions to a variety of audiences.
  • Project Management Experience
  • Vendor management experience.
