The State Group is seeking a Human Resource Generalist to work on a 3 year, $500M project in Stanton, Tennessee. This opportunity will provide immediate once-in-a-lifetime career learning and growth, as well as future promotional opportunities within The State Group.

Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), the Human Resource Generalist supports the organization at our large project work site at Ford in Stanton, TN and performs duties at a professional level in the following areas: employee relations, training and development, recruiting, compliance and auditing, benefits administration, document maintenance, and policy and procedure interpretation. This position is a business partner for the other functions and provides subject matter expert (SME) support to employees and managers.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Support, coach, and counsel employees and supervisors in the areas of recognition, performance, and legal and policy requirements; and proactively escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Accurately complete and maintain files, forms, and data.
  • Provide employee orientation and training as required.
  • Provide HR resources to employees, and complete projects as assigned.
  • Recruiting and selection.

WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN OUR TEAM

  • 3-5+ years experience as a Human Resource Generalist or Manager, preferably in a construction or manufacturing environment.
  • College Diploma or bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, or equivalent experience and certifications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of employment laws.
  • MS Office, and HR software applications.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally and maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be able to manage multiple and changing priorities, possess time management and organizational skills, and can manage stress and conflict appropriately.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
