What You Will Do as a HR Manager

As an HR Manager, you will provide practical, consistent, and proactive support to other department managers on HR procedures, policies, best practices, employment rewards, and benefits. You will also perform HR management work relating to hiring, recruitment, training, compensation, promotions, terminations, career development, and retirement. Some of your primary responsibilities include:

  • Performing all daily, weekly, and pay period close responsibilities to payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate submission of payroll
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality of all employee information
  • Understanding how to calculate overtime, according to state and federal law
  • Processing pay increases in a timely manner
  • Maintaining records of vacation time, sick time, personal and funeral days, and attendance. Completing individual accrual/absence records
  • Participating in new hire orientation
  • Maintaining all employee personnel files and handling all employee benefits
  • Ensuring schedules are input into the timekeeping system

Education, Licensure & Certification Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • One (1) year of experience processing payroll
  • Minimum of an Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or Nursing.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years progressive HR experience or relevant business and HR experience.
