Human Resource Specialist
Job description
AMHC is in search of a Human Resource Specialist in our Presque Isle office. This Human Resource Specialist's focus will be on payroll, benefits, and certifications. This person counsels and advises management and employees with support from the Director of Human Resources; initiates and responds to inquiries, compiles and analyzes data, prepares reports, and supports the maintenance of employee records. The chosen candidate will be expected to demonstrate the core values of AMHC by showing Integrity, Compassion, Excellence, Service, Collaboration, and Respect to co-workers, clients, and community members.
Qualifications:
- An associate's degree in a relatable field is required.
- Experience working in a human resource environment is preferred.
- A high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation is required.
Responsibilities & Expectations:
- Administration and management of payroll systems to ensure the Excellence established with our Payroll department.
- Provide Respectful training on Payroll, Benefits, and Certifications to supervisors and employees on an ongoing basis.
- Maintain the Integrity of AMHC by ensuring the timely payment of all employees and management of benefits.
- Collaborate with staff and benefit providers to ensure timely and proper benefit enrollment.
- Demonstrate Compassion to staff and supervisors with all payroll, benefits, and other customer service questions.
- Maintain records to ensure our ability to meet the Service needs of our communities.
Schedule:
- This is a 40-hour-per-week non-exempt position.
- This is an in-person role at our Presque Isle Office
- All AMHC Employment requires Covid vaccination
