Human Resources Business Partner

Defense contractor involved with product development and manufacturing of various systems for military aerospace and vehicles in the Los Angeles International Airport area is searching for an experienced People & Culture Business Partner. With a 50+ year foundation, The Marvin Group supports all branches of the Department of Defense and allies around the globe on an array of programs and platforms. We support many military prime contractors including Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Raytheon.

SCOPE

The People & Culture Business partner position provides proactive human resource consulting as a business partner to the entire organization. Consults in all aspects of human resources including employment, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and benefits. Relies on judgment and experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Advise management and employees on Human Capital related policies and their interpretation and application.
• Ensure the Company’s compliance with laws affecting employment.
• Assist in administering discipline.
• Assist in managing involuntary terminations.
• Assist with leaves of absence interactive process.
• Creates best practices.
• Participate in special projects as assigned.
• Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; and maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
• Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.
• Other Projects as assigned.

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS

• 7-10 years as a Human Resources Generalist or equivalent experience and training; understanding all aspects of the field.
• Bachelor's degree
• PHR, SPHR, PHR-CA, SPHR-CA
• Bilingual in Spanish plus.
• Extensive MS Office
• Advanced Presentations skills
• Excellent Oral and Written communication skills.
• Must read, write, and speak English.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs

Pay: $80,000.00 - $96,000.00 per year
