Agate develops proprietary software, which is sold across the country, primarily to different state governmental agencies for the purpose of applying for and managing federally funded grant monies.
Human Resources Coordinator
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for recruiting new employees, coordinating new hire onboarding and training, employee engagement activities, and handling administrative tasks that include (but not limited to) record keeping, personnel files and other compliance related tasks in support of the business and the Sr. Human Resources Business Partner. This is a hybrid role working out of the Glendale, Arizona office and reports to the Sr. Human Resource Business Partner.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and support onboarding programs and processes such as new hire orientation, pre-hire communication and paperwork including tax forms, policy acknowledgement forms, I-9 forms, delivering orientation, creating, and maintaining personnel files
- Provide administrative support for training initiatives such as preparing materials, scheduling, booking rooms, facilitating virtual meetings, audits, coordinating logistics and/or other needs as they present
- Assist with full life cycle recruiting including requisitions, job postings, sourcing, review of candidates, applicant tracking
- Assist with managing a portfolio of operational responsibilities in relation to staff support of HR processes
- Enhance productivity and reduce liability through improved communications and driving HR practices including, but are not limited to, policy and procedure, justifications, position descriptions, performance excellence, hiring processes, terminations, and morale/retention programs
- Participate and engage in training and professional development opportunities to enhance HR functional competencies, business acumen, and leverage technology and resources
- Assist with FMLA documentation and process
- Will be business liaison for Arizona office and coordinate with vendors/suppliers for office needs, as well as with Agate Headquarters in Michigan
- May be required to assist with payroll administration in the future
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of employment laws and practices, human resources, and compliance topics
- General knowledge of I-9 requirements and immigration laws related to specific visa types
- Ability to accurately create or maintain records and documents, including sensitive information preserving confidentiality
- Ability to produce quality deliverables using Microsoft Office, SharePoint, HRIS, or LMS software, Vizio and Teams
- Skill in critical thinking, fact-finding, problem analysis, problem resolutions, and the development of concrete action plans to solve problems
- Ability to gather, analyze and present facts, communicate effectively in English (both orally and written), using tact and courtesy, and ability to plan, organize work, and meet deadlines
- Ability to identify, optimize, and effectively utilize resources to meet goals
- Ability to demonstrate commitment to positive workplace culture and ethical decision-making
- Ability to build and maintain relationships, influence key partners, and deliver results in a collaborative environment
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma required
- 4-year college degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of progressively more responsibility in managing human resource functions
- PHR/CP certification through HRCI or SHRM preferred in leu of a 4-year college degree with 3+ years of progressively more responsibility in managing human resource functions

Pay: $36,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
