Job Description

Founded in 1967, Blue Ridge Community College has served the residents of the central Shenandoah Valley of Virginia for over 50 years. Its comprehensive program of instruction includes associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates in occupational/technical and college/university transfer programs. The College also provides non-credit workforce training and special interest classes for individuals, business, and industry.

Position will assist with managing and coordinating various aspects of college Human Resources; including but not limited to; Full-Time/Part-Time/Adjunct Payroll Coordination and Leave Administration. Will assist with some aspects of Benefits Administration, including FMLA/VSDP/Workers Comp. May assist with other areas of HR administration, including Education Assistance, Training/Development, Employee Recruitment and/or Title IX compliance.

Special Assignments

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.



KSA's/Required Qualifications
Knowledge and experience with human resources principles, practices, and laws. Demonstrated ability to process confidential information in a discreet, professional manner. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Excellent verbal/written communication skills, and computer skills, including Microsoft Office products. Requires human resources generalist skills, and ability to work cooperatively with people at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications
Prefer at least Associate’s Degree in related field and/or equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training. HRCI and/or SHRM certifications preferred.
