Freebirds is looking for a bold, culture-centric, and innovative HR Manager to join our rapidly growing organization. The HR Manager is a partner with strong collaboration, planning, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills and has demonstrated the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment. This role will play as a key partner within our HR team, which reports to Freebirds’ General Counsel, and will assist in creating initiatives and activities that support a positive working environment for our Tribe and fostering and evolving our culture as key point of contact for our Tribe.

Responsibilities:

  • You are responsible for Tribe relations, to include coaching and counseling. Provides support to Tribe in various HR-related topics and resolve issues and conflicts.
  • You can relate to a variety of different personality types, you have no issue handling employee relations, and find it exciting when you can impact and resolve issues or conflict
  • You can provide support and guidance to other departments such as Operations Leadership, Talent Acquisition, Restaurant Management and other Tribe when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions arise
  • You value the importance of effective communication as it comes to managing the routine functions and administration of employee leaves while maintaining communication between Tribe and department managers throughout the leave process
  • You have a passion for the employee experience, you are able to analyze Tribe surveys and identify what trends should be corrected and what should be celebrated
  • You are skilled in navigating through various HRIS and are able to create/prepare reporting, compile statistical data, and assist in presentations of special projects. You are the expert and manage all things related to employee records.
  • You are the benefit guru; assisting Tribe regarding plan changes, ensuring accuracy of all benefit enrollment, benefit education, perform quality checks with audits of benefit related data. You manage and coordinate open enrollment.
  • You are able to work in tandem with other HR parallels to manage ADA accommodation requests, organization of related documentation, and serving as an information source for the Tribe.
  • You process, review and manage unemployment claims
  • You are capable of being a program administrator for Rewards and Recognition programs as it aligns to Freebirds business needs while developing and managing related policy, procedures, and systems
  • You are an expert in retention and turnover and have exciting new ideas to bring to the table to assist in reducing turnover
  • You maintain compliance with federal, state, and local legislations pertaining to all labor law matters
  • You can not only manage but find new innovative ways to maintain and develop our HR systems
  • The role will entail data entry/data integrity, supporting other HR professionals, providing customer service for our Tribe while maintaining the day-to-day administrative function of a highly active Human Resources office
  • You support and lead other HR initiatives as need

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management or related field
  • PHR or SHRM-CP (desired not required)
  • A minimum of 3 years related HR experience
  • Ability to work independently and make sound judgements on a day-to-day basis with limited direction
  • Experience in supporting senior HR professionals and Benefits/Payroll Specialists
  • Amazing writing and verbal communication skills
