Wells Fargo's Human Resources organization is actively searching for qualified candidates for exciting new senior leadership roles. These positions, Workday Product Management Directors, will lead a team of product managers and product owners responsible for the end-to-end product management for the HR business and will report directly to the Head of HR Product & Portfolio Delivery.

We are hiring for multiple open roles with specific domain focus:
  • HR Core Services: Global Payroll, Time, Absence and Service Management through ServiceNow
  • Talent Management and Learning & Development
  • Total Rewards: Compensation (Executive, Incentive, Advanced, etc.) and Benefits
  • Employee Life Cycle (Onboarding, Offboarding, etc.) and Employee Relations
These roles are inherently cross-functional - you will work closely with engineering, data, analytics, user experience, operations, finance, and HR executive teams to bring products and features to market - and grow business opportunities. Successful candidates will be customer-obsessed, imaginative, highly analytical, able to work effectively in a matrix organization, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into products and experiences that customers love.

You will be expected to operate both strategically and tactically, working closely with colleagues across HR and Wells Fargo, diving deep in data to uncover customer insights and thinking big to drive new opportunities.

A successful candidate will be able to articulate a passionate product management mind-set and possess a demonstrated leadership capability. The candidate will have strong relationship management, influencing, vision, operational and execution skills. A key differentiator will be the ability to understand and operate successfully in a complex, heavily regulated and matrixed corporate environment. The candidate operates with a bias towards action and a sense of urgency, passion for results, human-centered, and personal accountability for driving results with risk always in mind.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead a team of Product Managers and Product Owners to develop strategies and roadmaps across numerous product areas that support HR
  • Be embedded into the HR Service Area to understand business intentions and service needs
  • Develop and coach team members to establish an industry leading product management competency
  • Coordinate/negotiate overall strategy and objectives in conjunction with many diverse businesses and key business partners across HR and Wells Fargo
  • Create roadmap transparency with stakeholders inclusive of service owner, HR business partners, HR COEs and HR Share Services and control partners
  • Directly accountable for product performance and value recognition of product investments, including creating effective Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)
  • Demonstrate an appropriate Risk tolerance in the leadership and execution of Operational Processes and controls
  • Ensure strong engagement and execution on enterprise and HR Priorities
  • Lead efforts to obtain and analyze customer/competitive information and market research related to development and testing of services/products; distribution strategies and innovations, end-to-end technical/systems and customer requirements, and performance measurement techniques; and managing enterprise-wide efforts to align and coordinate distribution channels, systems requirements, product introduction, marketing, training, and ongoing product/service management
  • Negotiate vendor contracts and manage vendor relationships
  • Leverage and foster relationships and drive the strategic coordination between the HR Leaders, Technology, Operations, Enablement teams and the Product group to help deliver and continually enhance the client experience
  • Provide vision and set direction for executives, board members, internal leadership, and external partners to achieve strategic objectives
  • Develop business strategies focusing on the customer experience
  • Develop and implement strategic solutions to highly complex and potentially companywide product development
  • Lead a team of managers and more experienced professionals to develop a business strategy in order to achieve business objectives
  • Collaborate with individual teams, innovation experts, peers and more experienced leadership
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Product Management
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of Product Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of Management experience

  • Commensurate experience in financial services industry, leadership, product management experience and Product Development/Agile Transformation
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Proven ability to listen and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders by employing a calm, credible and confident leadership style
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present complex concepts into simplified solutions in a straightforward and understandable manner to multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategies, which capture opportunities to serve multiple stakeholders, providing clear direction and support to the team
  • Proven record achieving business objectives by taking a customer-focused holistic approach to understanding business processes, controls, and workflow through an organization
  • Ability to execute in a fast pace, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
  • Ability to focus on delivering exceptional client service while considering impacts of decisions
  • Experience building successful relationships and driving for business results
