The HVAC Service Technicianis critical to our success in ensuring our customers receive top-notch service as it relates to the diagnosis, repair, and preventative maintenance of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment! The HVAC equipment you will be servicing includes large and small rooftop units, split systems,chillers, and boilers.

A Day in the Life:

  • Perform maintenance of all HVAC & applied equipment and on-site start-up procedures.
  • Repair and replace defective equipment, components, or wiring. Perform intermediate to advanced independent diagnostics, troubleshooting, pipefitting, and brazing of CAT I, II, and III equipment. Specific equipment responsibilities include but are not limited to the following (Category I): water-cooled single and dual centrifugal chillers up to 200- 2700 tons, screw chillers up to 400 tons, air-cooled chillers up to 530 tons, centrifugal screw templifiers, and magnetic drive chillers 100-700 tons.
  • Conduct warranty service application by independently inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality for all CAT I, II, and III equipment.
  • Lead the rebuild and retrofit of CAT I, II and III level units. Direct apprentice level technicians through hands-on demonstration of the necessary steps and introduce centrifugal rebuilds.
  • Program new control systems using touchscreens and computers.
  • Complete jobsite hazard assessment prior to initiating service and adhere to Daikin Applied and customer safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
  • Communicate potential sales opportunities to the sales staff through the technician tip quote process. Identify and quote opportunities for minor repairs directly to the customer.

What You Will Bring:

  • 4+ years related experience with increasing responsibility or 6+ years related experience
  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district
  • Ability to lift 50lbs with or without an accommodation

Nice to Have:

  • Previous experience in mentoring less experienced technicians
  • Certified first aid / CPR card, OSHA 10 Certification

Compensation: $38+, dependent on experience
