What You Will Do
As the Corporate Grounds Manager you will provide property management support and to oversee capital improvement projects related to Grounds; including lawns, landscaping, irrigation, tree care, site amenities, and snow and ice removal. Key responsibilities include overseeing in-house staff and contracted services, monitoring work processes, managing contracted services, training, budgeting, and monitoring the utilization of equipment. This position is responsible for promoting workplace safety, and ensuring grounds crews maintain a pleasing overall appearance of grounds at all locations.
Skills & Requirements
Associate’s degree is required.
Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Equivalent years of experience may substitute for education requirement.
Four (4) years of general grounds keeping or landscape design experience is required.
Equivalent years of education may substitute for experience requirement.
EPA Pesticide Applicator’s License is required.
Certified Arborist is preferred.
KSA- Knowledge Skills and Abilities-
Work receives general direction toward accomplishment of major program or project objectives. Employees must draw on available resources to accomplish end result. Supervisor reviews work for progress toward achievement of objectives.
Knowledge of landscaping, lawn care and tree care.
Skills in operating Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Skills in estimating labor and material requirements.
Skills in directing and coordinating work performance.
Ability to effectively communicate.
Ability to prioritize and multitask.
Ability to demonstrate and explain equipment operations.
Ability to maintain upkeep of equipment.
Ability to operate equipment safely.
