Immigration Paralegal (2yrs. Experience Minimum)

GF Immigration Law PA is looking for an experienced Paralegal to join our team. The firm focuses its practice on helping human trafficking and abuse survivors to gain legal status in the United States.

Base Salary: $60k-$75k per year

Goals for Position:
- Review and prepare 3- 4 cases per day or around 15 to 20 cases per week. (20 if they are in great shape)
- If the case is returned to CW or any other department and has not been returned within a reasonable time need to follow up with the person to whom the request was sent and its respective supervisor.
- If any additional questions are asked or the case is returned for edits, ensure a second review is done to see if the corrections were done properly in a timely manner.

Responsibilities
Work closely with the legal team and the rest of the team in:
- Revising and reviewing legal documents and forms according to the company’s standards and guidelines.
- Able to review and analyze legal documents like police reports, FBI Background checks and FOIAs.
- Ensure the cases are completed in a timely manner and ready to be reviewed by the attorney.
- Communicate efficiently with different team members and departments.
- Provide feedback and assistance to other departments working on earlier stages of the case.
- No interaction with clients required.

- Ability to memorize/absorb many many info at once and not to mix cases when moving to the next one

- Knowledge of each stage of the case flow; ability to jump in and help in each stage of the development of the case; giving guidances to the people in your team; team player; receiving constructive criticism; desire to grow
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Paralegal Certificate
- Minimum 2 years of Paralegal experience.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with the team.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Analytical and critical thinking.
- Needs to be able to commute to Kendall Florida.
Needs to be able to use computer proficiently (Google Suite)Time Management Skills.
Physical Setting:
- This is an In-Office Position in our Kendall office (May temporarily need to travel to Miami Beach for training)
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift, Day shift
- Monday to Friday
