We are currently seeking an In-Home Sales Representative who will conduct sales appointments in customers' homes and present ventilation and daylighting product lines based on the customers' needs. We seek to provide a customer-firsts sales experience in line with the Solatube Home brand.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains a revenue schedule.
  • Performs walk-through with customer, develops rapport, helps create a solution for their needs and seeks to obtain a commitment for a future installation appointment.
  • Adheres to the Certified Installation Consultant Process at each appointment. This includes:
    • Arriving on time, greeting the customer and introducing the “Solatube Customer Experience Process”
    • Touring the home, learning more about customer needs
    • Presentation of Customer Reference Guide, recommends daylighting and ventilation solutions, explains available options
    • Scopes installation, inspect spaces and provides estimate of costs
  • Follows up with leads that have not yet closed.
  • Performs field marketing activities (door hangers, street fairs, referral cards, canvassing).
  • Maintains effective and timely communication with office and installation staff for purposes of scheduling and coordination.
  • Updates notes in CRM.
  • Provides a warm handoff to Certified Installer to ensure best customer experience.
  • Maintains a clean, professional appearance.
  • Communicates effectively with customers, peers, management, and other external contacts.
  • Works efficiently and cooperatively with staff.
  • Attends meetings and classes as required.
  • Performs all related duties as assigned.


NATURE AND SCOPE

This position reports to the General Manager of the company store. This person is responsible for maintaining the highest quality customer service, plus top level sales performance. Leading by example, this person inspires top performance, professional interactions, and positive attitudes. The In-Home Sales Representative works as a cooperative team member for the success of the business.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION

Minimum three (3) years in in-home sales experience required. Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of home improvement industry preferred. Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills with a great attention to quality and detail. Must be honest, responsible, and dependable. Must be a team player. Valid driver’s license and proof of insurability.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION

The employee must be “drug free”, in that he or she may not hold the position and use illegal and/or non-prescribed drugs. Good hearing and vision. Sitting, standing, walking, and climbing stairs and ladders are necessary. Must be able to work on roofs and climb into attic spaces. Lifting up to 50lbs. Ability to operate a vehicle.

ENVIRONMENT DEMANDS

Works indoors and outdoors. Travels frequently with exposure to varying temperatures and conditions.

Cellular Telephone, iPad, 8’ stepladder, Flashlight, Face Mask, and Measuring Tape. Standard office equipment including but not limited to telephone, laptop or iPad.
